Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using My Quran ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Eligibility

My Quran's content is suitable for people of all ages. Using the app requires creating an account via Google Sign-In or email/password, which follows the age requirements of those providers. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to create an account and use the app.

Use of the app

My Quran is provided for personal, non-commercial use for reading, listening to, and studying the Quran, and for related worship tools including prayer times, Qibla direction, Hijri date tracking, and dhikr (Tasbih) counting. You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functioning.

Prohibited conduct

When using My Quran, you agree not to:

Accounts

An account is required to use My Quran. You can create one by signing in with Google, or by registering with an email address and password. Your account is used to sync your bookmarks, reading progress, Tasbih counts, and preferences across devices. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account) or via our Delete Account page.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you've violated these terms, without prior notice where appropriate. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time; uninstalling the app alone does not delete your synced account data, which requires the deletion steps described above.

Content & accuracy

Quran text, translations, prayer time calculations, and Qibla direction are provided as a devotional and informational aid. While we take care to source Quran text and translations from established references (including quranenc.com) and calculate prayer times and Qibla direction using established astronomical methods, we recommend verifying prayer times against local authorities where precision is important (e.g. for congregational prayers or Ramadan timings).

Intellectual property

The app's design, code, and branding belong to Muhammad Shafeeq. Quran text, translations, and recitation audio are sourced from their respective providers and are used for devotional and educational purposes; My Quran does not claim ownership over the Quran text, translations, or recitation audio itself.

Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services (Firebase, including Google Sign-In, email/password authentication, data sync, analytics, and crash reporting) that have their own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Disclaimer of warranties

My Quran is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies, including in prayer time or Qibla calculations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Muhammad Shafeeq shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.

Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Muhammad Shafeeq regarding your use of My Quran, superseding any prior agreements.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
